Our Home in Ocean Shores
We have lived in Ocean Shores for the past 4 years. Art, my
husband and I modified the house plan to what we needed for
our dogs. We have 2 side runs. During the summer they go to
the South side, where there is more sun. During the winter,
they stay on the North side where they have a covering and an
Igloo with a light in it for warmth. There is a doggy door in the
kitchen that leads to the North side run. They also spend a lot
of their time in the house and on the back deck.
Our kitchen floor has white linoleum, which is great to clean
when there are accidents. There is a sliding door to the deck,
where our dogs like to go to and play.
There are stairs to the Dock where Art, likes to fish and our
boat is there also. Our dogs like to go on the dock and watch
the fish come out of the water. They have also had some fun
jumping in the water and swimming to the side of the dock. We
also take them on the boat with us, with their life saving
jackets on.
We live about 10 minutes from a very nice area on the beach
where the dogs run, and try to catch Seagulls or Black birds.
There are many activities here through out the year, but
summers bring more people. There are kite flying activities,
horse back riding on the beach, Motorcycle Runs, and one of
the most fun things to do is dig for clams. There is a Jazz
Festival in November, with 10 bands from different areas in
the U.S.
We live on the "Gran Canal", which empties into the ocean.
There are 2 lakes around us and also different activities that
go on in the summer.
Here is one of the Ducks
and her ducklinings.

A pesty friend came to
visit my upstairs deck.
One of my pups was out
there and was scared. I
took a pic of  the Racoon
and he left.
